dh-modaliases software package provides debhelper extension for scanning kernel module aliases, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install dh-modaliases
dh-modaliases is installed in your system.
Make ensure the dh-modaliases package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep dh-modaliases *
You will get with dh-modaliases package name, version, architecture and description in a table
